• Information Architecture — this is the bedrock of effective web design, and I have made it a point to acquire a thorough knowledge of its principles and practical application
• Visual design — a top-flight designer, I possess a keen critical eye. I also have a comprehensive awareness of the technical constraints on design for the web
• Usability — this is a concern whose importance cannot be exaggerated. I have read widely on the subject, particularly the work of Edward Tufte and Jakob Nielsen, and I make it a key component of all development choices
• Client-side development — HTML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS. These are my core web-based skills, in which I have a very high level of proficiency
• Server-side and database development — I have a sophisticated grasp of principles and have expertise in PHP/MySQL, as well as XML/XSLT skills

• Graphic Design — I produce clean, effective design for a wide range of uses: advertising, print publishing, brochures, flyers, posters, video packaging, cd covers
• Production Art — my Photoshop expertise in color correction and retouching is based on years of experience. I am fast, accurate and technically proficient with page layout and production for any output medium
• Illustration — my skills encompass digital photography (including product photography), Photoshop photo manipulation, Adobe Illustrator spot illustrations and technical drawings, and serigraphy
